I found this in my inbox from Heart today. I was having a pretty blah day and she really, really knows how to cheer me up.
She claims that I dreamed this man into existence. I clearly did. He’s gorgeous. He’s got knives. And he’s damn proud of both facts. Oh, not to mention the five o’clock shadow, the droopy eyelids, and those lips. Yum.
(And if anyone can tell me who this gent is I’ll be so grateful.)

Dear Mr. Grey,
While I understand my placement on academic probation does not put me in particularly good graces with the administration of the Grey Academy, I do have a few concerns about my pairing with Heart in your new mentoring program.
While I do find her to be a fine role model, her reputation does seem proceed her and she certainly lives up to it, perhaps even exceeds it. Moreover, although I am truly grateful for this opportunity, I do find her methods to be, to say the least, a bit unorthodox.

I did a little investigation and my super-sleuth abilities lead me to find out that her name is Janelle Fishman. And all the photos we have been fawning over, Heart, and some we’ve even reblogged that don’t include Janelle, belong to a giant work of photographic genius by Ellen von Unwerth called Revenge.
And, get this! They’re not vintage at all. They were taken in 2002-3. That’s talent.
PS: Revenge is deviously sexy. The work itself. And the overarching concept.
It was so kind of you to take me under your wing and teach me all about the art of performance. I’ve been practicing in the mirror just like you told me to. I know you must be awfully busy, but I could always use another go at rehearsing some of the finer points of our technique.
