Nykhor Paul standing up for black models
race
Why is ur url white girls ain’t shit? That’s just rude, racist, and unnecessary. It’s becoming popular to hate white ppl but that’s not ok. The ppl I see on here who are doing it even talk about racism being wrong, but do u guys not see that racism is thinking ur superior to another race and being negative towards that race??? Hating a certain race (even white people) is not cool, it isnt equality, it isn’t anything but racist. Idk what you think but I’m genuinely curious, why is that your url?
StandardFirst of all, shut yo ass up.
Like I understand your pov white girl. But white ppl been “ain’t shit” for too long and black ppl are just tired of your bullshit.
I can’t even say I understand shorty’s point of view! There is not a single instance of anything regarding race issues, black genocide in America, racism against any people of color… I AINT EVEN SEE ADONIS BOSSO ON HER BLOG! But she got the nerve to stumble her ass over to me and ask “why are you so mean to me because I’m white?” Like she isn’t showing that she can actively ignore issues in the communities around her to make a statement like that. You can’t be white and come tell me what is and isn’t racist when you can’t even acknowledge race when it doesn’t affect you. You can’t be white and come tell me what is and isn’t racist, period… If we wanna be real. Smh. Hell nah.

“We hear in the news about African-Americans being shot in a church, and this brings up all sorts of other things and experiences,” says Monnica Williams, director of the Center for Mental Health Disparities at the University of Louisville. “Maybe that specific thing has never happened to us. But maybe we’ve had uncle or aunts who have experienced things like this, or we know people in our community [who have], and their stories have been passed down. So we have this whole cultural knowledge of these sorts of events happening, which then sort of primes us for this type of traumatization.”
I’m actually struggling with this a bit myself. Sometimes I just can’t know the news.
I have definitely been feeling the emotional effects of the stories of police brutality and racism for over six months now. I try to maintain my energy so I can go about my day-to-day, and sometimes that means cutting myself off (literally or emotionally) from new developments and victims. Which brings its own negative feelings around not caring or doing enough. But I need to work. I need to live. I need to be capable of interacting with white people on a daily basis.
I remember accidentally watching the Eric Harris video on someone else’s screen while flying once. I couldn’t stop watching, even though I knew I needed to. I started sobbing 36,000 miles above this racist fucking country.

If I Die In Police Custody…
In 2k15 America, Black people now have to proactively and publicly declare for the record that we, like anyone else, would neither lynch ourselves nor commit suicide while in police custody.
This is (apparently) necessary now because if we are caught being human and – even once – state that we were even momentarily sad or depressed, that single statement alone can and will be used against us by corporate media and the police to blame us for our own murders…at the hands of the police.

I want you all to know that an Arab Muslim from Tunis proposed the Theory of Evolution near 600 years before Charles Darwin even took his first breath. Don’t let them erase you.
his name is Ibn Khaldun
same thing with the scientific method!!! i was taught in school that it was invented by roger bacon , but
Paul Castaway, Allen Locke, Navarone Woods, Myles Rough Surface, Corey Kanosh, Mahhivist Good Blanket, just a few of the Natives recently slain by police.
why so little notes?
Not very many of my followers reblogged this or other posts on the recent violent deaths by police of Native men. I have to say, I’m really disappointed in those who didn’t, and yet, not at all surprised. Most non-Natives only care about us when it comes to some fictional great great grandparent you heard was part Cherokee or when you think we get something you don’t like free education or no taxes. You assholes care more about the plaster figurine Indian on your bookshelf than you care about us as real human beings.
OR HOW ABOUT SOME OF US DIDN’T SEE IT COME ACROSS OUR DASH YET shit it takes time for things to loop damn
The FBI actively sabotaged and dismantled the American Indian Movement, the Chicano Movement, and the Black Power movement but the KKK is still alive and well today.
Sandra Bland was stopped Friday by authorities in Waller County, Texas for a traffic violation. In a video of her arrest, while being forcibly held face down, Ms. Bland can clearly be heard saying to the officer, “You just slammed my head into the ground. Do you not even care about that?” As she’s being picked up off the ground and placed into the police vehicle, Ms. Bland can be heard again, this time thanking the person recording the video, saying, “Thank you for recording.”
Bland was arrested and booked on
“assault of a public servant” charges.A police statement says the following Monday morning Ms. Bland was released on a $5,000 bond, and was subsequently “found dead” by a female jailer who was “worried” about her recreation time.
Waller County Sheriff Glenn Smith claims this was a case of self-inflicted asphyxiation. An autopsy performed Tuesday showed Bland’s death “has been classified as a suicide, with the cause of death (listed as) hanging,” according to Tricia Bentley, a spokeswoman for the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences in Houston.
Hanged. Suicide. A young 28-year old woman who was moving to Texas to begin working her dream job suddenly decided to commit suicide, supposedly because of a small traffic infraction?
Ms. Bland’s friends and family feel that the police’s story doesn’t add up. For one thing, the odd quickness with which everything seemed to escalate seems off. In a matter of 72 hours Bland went from being pulled over for a minor traffic violation, to being arrested for assaulting a cop, and then to killing herself, according to the police’s story. There’s also the fact that Bland is black, and Waller county has a history of discriminatory law enforcement behavior.
The police are lying again.
