casual reminder that leia is also a skywalker and equally as force-sensitive and capable of great power just like her twin luke but decided that instead of exploring the dull-ass monk-like path of a jedi she’d rather explore han solo’s body and run the galaxy
my sexuality is that shot in the opening of xena: warrior princess of lucy lawless turning toward the light with wind flowing through her hair, looking more beautiful than any human being has a right to look
like what the fuck!!!!!!!!!
i knew exactly the moment you were describing in an instant but thank u for providing a pic anyway bc……. what radiance!? what splendour.
and the picture doesn’t even do it justice like……….. it doesn’t capture the movement, the way she turns, her face before she smiles, the music playing in the background……. lucy lawless is a gift
Rey is given a luxury that comes so easily to male heroes – she simply turns a corner, finds a magical item (Luke Skywalker’s Lightsaber, no less) and it awakens the Force in her. Just that. No searing infertility, no rape, no revelation of past abuse, no heartbreak, no sacrifice. No heroine who’s validity is defined by what she has sacrificed, in the way of Katniss handing up her life for her sister, becoming a martyr for a revolution. In the way of Ariel, handing over her power to speak in order to walk on land. No poison apple, no needle on a spinning wheel here.
When it was announced that Noma Dumezweni would be Hermione in the new Harry Potter play ‘Cursed Child’ it instantly sparked my inspiration! I wanted to draw my take on Hermione in her teenage years. I experimented a lot with keeping it rough to chill and I really enjoyed drawing it! Hope you like 🙂
POC Hermione is the only Harry Potter thing I care about.
