Those memes where its like “when your barber could have become an engineer or surgeon but institutionalized racism and poverty held them back” or “when your beautician could have become a structural engineer but systematic racism and misogyny held her back” What you are inferring is that people with vocational degrees are one, not living up to their full potential and two, that people in the hair/beauty industry are obviously in it as a fallback career as if being a nail tech or a beautician doesnt require as much skill as any other profession when most of yall cant even braid to your scalp or pluck your own eyebrows without fucking them up lmao
