In this version, when the hero defeats the villain and saves the damsel, she simply passes into another pair of abusive hands.
I dig.

An interesting, and safer, variation on tying your damsel to the train tracks. I approve.
Is it wrong that this makes me think of The Little Engine That Could?
I think I can…I think I can. 🙂
To make up for the cheesiness of my last post, here’s a cutie tied to some piping in a warehouse.

I’d say this is about where it started for me. I got such a swimmy feeling whenever I’d see a Damsel in Distress scene. When I was a little girl, I’d keep rewinding and replaying the VHS to watch those scenes over and over and over.
I admit a certain weakness for Damsels in Distress from a very early age. This one is an interesting take on the idea. Not tied up, but certainly summoning some kind of rescue.
